Fair Trade and Certified Organic

Grown in Colombia, this unrefined, organic sugar is made from three varieties of sugarcane. Farmers harvest cane and deliver it to the local press where the juice is evaporated, cooled and sifted into the soft, caramel-toned sugar.

CANE SUGAR LOCATION: HUILA, COLOMBIA

ORIGIN INFORMATION

Level Ground’s organic cane sugar is packaged by a Fair Trade Organization (FTO) in Colombia called Fruandes, whose mission is to provide positive employment for women.

Description: Sweet, rich caramel flavour. Organic, unrefined sugar made from cold-pressed, evaporated cane juice.

Use this sugar for all your baking or stir into your coffee. Especially delicious in crumble toppings on pies, crisps and muffins. Cane sugar isn't as sweet as refined white sugar so it's a lovely substitute for those looking for a less sweet kick!

Great product!

It tastes really very good. Exactly a kind of punjabi sakkar or jaggery powder. And organic on top of that.

Organize cane sugar

We use cane sugar for home and we haven’t bought it from anywhere else in the last 3 years. Their quality and taste and colour is unmatched! I recommend it to anyone who asks and they love it as well !!

This stuff is the best!

I don’t consume much sugar, but when I do, this is it. I was delighted to find it available in bulk direct from Level Ground when my source in NS stopped carrying it. Before that I bought it regularly retail when I lived in BC.
As little refinement as possible means a healthier, more delicious and flavourful product - and fair trade, so it benefits the farmers. Buying in bulk means saving, so it’s a win win win.
