Position Type: part-time, 20 hours per week, M-F 8:30AM-12:30PM (other options available)
Effective: August 12th 2019 to March 13th 2020, non-permanent
Salary: $18,000-$21,0000 (DOE) per annum ($33,500-$39,000 FTE)
Paid Time Off: 13 days/year

Level Ground Trading is a Direct Fair Trade company located in Victoria, BC Canada that trades fairly and directly with small-scale farmers and producers in 10 countries. Our mission is to trade fairly and directly with small-scale farmers and producers in an effort to alleviate poverty through direct fair trade. We promote sustainability and well-being through long-term trade relationships where fair prices are paid and premiums are invested in producer communities for capacity building. We import coffee, tea, dried fruit, cane sugar, vanilla, heirloom rice and spices.
At home in Victoria, we send nothing to landfill, pay staff to bike, bus or carpool to work and reclaim empty packaging. Together, we’re building a food system focused on sustainability and well-being.
The Accounting & Admin team is responsible for record keeping and analyzing of a growing company with 35 employees. This includes: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits, finance, inventory, human resources, and logistics. This department works closely with each of the other departments to ensure customers are satisfied and our supply-chain is transparent and efficient.
The main deliverables of this position are:
• Accurate recording of transaction between LG and the company’s customers;
• Communicate and coordinate transaction arrangements with customers;
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure a positive customer experience;
