Uganda Limited Roast Coffee
Friends of Mothers Initiative is a coffee farming and beekeeping collective focused on gender equality and providing opportunities for farmer growth. The coffee they produce is shade-grown, hand harvested, and certified organic and Fairtrade.
This coffee has been specially selected from ripe cherries grown by small-scale producers at high altitude. The milling, fermentation, and washing is carefully controlled to provide a clean, sweet, magical coffee that hopes to be a pure expression of these producer’s best coffee.
In a pour-over, the sweet juiciness is beautifully pronounced. In a french press, the weight of the sugar and spice come through with force.
When carefully prepared you’ll find impressions of tree fruit and stone fruit – namely pear and apricot. The mouthfeel is light and juicy with a pronounced cane sugar sweetness. The finish provides some spicy complexity, expressing with a lovely vanilla finish.
