Roast Level: Dark 4/5
This dark and balanced blend packs a punch and a distinct flavour profile with notes of toasted pecan, dried fruit, and dark chocolate that combines all the delicious coffee flavours East Africa is known for.
Why is there a bike on the package?
No matter what country you’re in in East Africa, bicycles are a staple. In big cities or remote countryside the bicycles in Africa put Amsterdam to shame. African bicycles transport anything and everything, including fresh milk to be pasteurized and you know it - coffee!
Certified Fairtrade, organic, and small batch roasted in Victoria, BC.
I found this to be a very pleasant, smooth drink but alas not dark enough for my taste.
First time I tasted beans from the DRC. Quite enjoyed it.
For myself, someone who adds nothing to their coffee, this is the best cup of coffee I have ever found, Thanks!
I have been buying this coffee for a good while now and just love it. Very full bodied, zero bitterness and after taste. Organic and Fair Trade at an excellent price point. Unlike some other coffee beans, taste never varies - always the same.
Very much reminds me of past seasons Starbucks Christmas Blends. Very strong and rich however just a little too dark and smokey for my liking. I however would recommend to people who like very dark coffee.
