Why is there a llama on the package?  

Llamas (and alpacas) are the animals most associated with Peru as a nation and are often spotted on the trek to Macchu Picchu. Due to the region's high coffee-growing altitudes, llamas help manage the steep terrain. They are a staple way of transporting coffee (and everything else) throughout the region.

Fabulous

Being a working coffee professional for over a decade, I can say with confidence that this is a great roast for a daily drinker or table /serving roast. Not too acidic, not too bitter, very well rounded. I am biased towards south American beans & knowing this is a single origin makes it even better at the price point. Yes it's not the cheapest bag around but it is well worth what it is considering it's hard to find something at a local grocery store that checks all these boxes. If you like Brazilian, Colombian, Costa Rican, or even Honduran beans these will be familiar to you and maybe your next favorite if you haven't already tried.

Tasty beans for milky drinks

-light brown beans. Think milk chocolate in color but slightly lighter.
-not oily.
-grind a littler finer for an espresso as it’s a medium roast.
-espresso tastes like roasted nuts on my tongue. Didn’t pick up on other notes.
-the espresso shots makes for amazingly yummy milky drinks with hints of chocolates and peanuts.

Highly recommend these beans for milky drinks.
