About Us

Level Ground is a Fair Trade organization established in 1997. Our mission is to trade fairly and directly with small-scale producers in developing countries and to market their products in North America, offering our customers ethical consumer choices. 

We import coffee, tea, dried fruit, and cane sugar from small-scale producers in Colombia, Honduras, Peru, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, D.R. Congo, India, & more. Our products are sold through a network of fair-trade stores, grocery stores, health stores, cafés, and non-profit organizations.

Our Team

Level Ground’s Production team is a co-operative, communicative, forward-thinking & positive environment where hard work and innovation are valued. The team is responsible for roasting, packaging and shipping delicious coffee.

Job Overview

The primary deliverables of the position are:

• Operating roasting equipment
• Operating packaging equipment
• Cleaning equipment and processing areas
• Preparing orders and completing other duties as required

 Desired Assets

The ideal candidate would have the following skills, abilities and experience:

• Valid Food Safe certificate - Can be attained during employment
• Basic computer skills
• Physically able to lift up to 40lb
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, determination, and adaptability
• Experienced team player who enjoys smiling, listening, and contributing to a positive work environment
• Growth and learning mindset

We love coffee! Staff have access to delicious beverages from our Tasting Room prepared by our awesome Baristas. Everyone on the team also gets to choose a package of coffee, tea, dried fruit or cane sugar to enjoy at home weekly.
