Level Ground’s organic cacao nibs are packaged by a Fair Trade Organization (FTO) in Colombia called Fruandes, whose mission is to provide positive employment for women.
In central Colombia, there is a community of people who are taking a stand for peace. Situated at a cross path of a conflict zone, the farmers are committed to organic farming and have set up a cacao processing facility to provide income for their families and some economic stability in their community.
Description: Intense pure cocoa flavour with a nutty crunch. Cacao is an antioxidant-rich superfood and an excellent source of flavonols. Free from sulphites and preservatives.
Use in trail mix, salads, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream or in baking as natural chocolate chips.

Small evenly shaped pieces. Have not found any stems or wood in it yet. I use them as flavouring in mead making. A few pinches now and then have found their way into snacks straight up out of the bag - delicious!
